IQNA – The revelation of the Holy Quran in Ramadan is among the most outstanding features of this blessed month.

Holy Quran and Ramadan

The reason for this revelation in this month is that there are similarities between the two in terms of rank and status.

God says in Verse 185 of Surah Al-Baqarah: “: The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed; a guide for the people, the most authoritative of all guidance and a criteria to discern right from wrong.”

What relation is there between the truth and essence of Ramadan and the Quran?

According to a philosophical theory, there is proportionality between things in the system of the world. This is seen between the essence of the Quran and Ramadan.

The Holy Quran is the comprehensive guide for human beings in all aspects and has been sent to lead mankind to salvation in this world and the next.

The author of this invaluable book of guidance is God, the Almighty, and it has been revealed at His will. Even the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has had no role except properly hosting this book. Such a book should be revealed in conditions that is appropriate for its status.

In other words, the Quran has a lofty status and its revelation should be in a time that is proportional with this status.
